Bo Film is a film production company based in Bologna, founded in 2013. Its main activity is the production and distribution of film products, mainly creative documentaries on social and sociological matters. Bo Film works almost exclusively in international co-productions. Bo Film's productions, which have won awards and nominations at important international festivals (Visions du Réel, CPH:DOX, Festival dei Popoli, DocsMX, Jihlava International Documentary Festival, Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, Festa del Cinema di Roma, Al Jazeera FF, ONE WORLD), have been distributed to cinemas in Italy, France and Switzerland and have been broadcast on important international channels (such as France Télévisions, VRT, Press TV, RAI, SKY ARTE ITALIA, History Channel).
SPECIAL PROJECT 2020
Thanks to the innovation project developed in 2020, Bo Film can remain competitive even in remote mode. The new skills acquired thanks to the consultancies of the past few months and the equipment used to support its remote activities, allow Bo Film to continue filming and sharing material with different co-producers, also in different countries, to participate in pitching forums, give online presentations and make its film catalogue available.
