Francesca Tomasini is the owner of Bifranci Ceramica.
In 2014 she started her current activity as a ceramist and opened her first studio in Bologna. The following year she moved to Via Rialto 4/B, where the studio is located to this day.
Her work is divided into two main areas: one consisting in the design and production of ceramics for her home collection, the other in training and teaching activities.
SPECIAL PROJECT 2020
The project presented for Incredibol! 2020 involves both aspects of her work: on the one hand, growing her core business by moving from retail to online sales, on the other hand, adapting the space inside her studio to run courses in total safety.
With regard to online sales, the project envisages the creation of the studio’s website and its integration with the online shop to make it functional and easy to use for customers. As for teaching, the project envisages the purchase of three lathes, so that each participant can have his or her own workstation placed at a distance from others, and the purchase of a kiln being larger than the one currently in use, to optimise firing and therefore improve both the studio’s own production and the management of the products obtained by participants to courses.
