The cultural association AppenAppena - APS has as its mission the promotion of art and culture. Their main activity is the planning and realisation of events and festivals, combined with careful research in the artistic and organisational field. AppenAppena is an incubator of novelties and professional skills, a reference team for experimenting new forms of aggregation and modes of creation.

SPECIAL PROJECT 2020

Since 2015 AppenAppena is the organizer of CONCENTRICO - FESTIVAL DI TEATRO ALL'APERTO: a big stage in the heart of the historical centre of Carpi (Mo) to rediscover through imagination the city spaces, break down the walls and bring art in the heart of the community. A contemporary and topical event, site-specific and widespread festival, ranging from prose to circus, from dance to storytelling, from puppetry and children's theatre to large-scale street performances. A collective experience of cultural innovation characterised by internationality, artistic research, training and experimentation. July's edition of Concentrico 2020 was one of the first major events after the lockdown. Cutting-edge design and high artistic quality confirmed the success of the festival, which was able to take place in total safety and in full compliance with anti-covid regulations, with a maximum number of spectators allowed. The difficulties overcome due to the Covid-19 have spurred the team to undertake substantial changes, to create a real cultural enterprise that allows passion and commitment to be transformed into a real profession.
