Proget-art/projects of memory is a design studio that creates cemetery works, established in Bologna from an idea of Tina Caravetta.
The design studio researches, proposes and experiments with new materials and forms that reflect the evolution of the Made in Italy concept also in the cemetery field, with the collaboration of artists and designers who are also open to explore this area.
With time, the network of artists, sculptors, designers who tend towards “beauty” also in the cemetery field, has given way to serial products.
To offer an alternative to what is currently available, Proget-art aims to generate synergies with artists, designers and artisans to pursue the balance between art and architecture, which has always been an index of beauty even in architecture dedicated to the memory.
ACTIVITIES
Currently Projet-art is engaged in the design and construction of many cemetery works, mainly in the Emilia-Romagna region.
This is supported by the continuous research of innovative materials and artistic expressions that are applicable to the architecture of memory, while in the meantime collaborating with artists and designers to pursue the project’s mission.
The Proget-art studio focuses on designing and making cemetery works in the widest sense: from family chapels and urns to tombstones, crypts and cairns, works that are interpreted in a modern way as unique works, but without neglecting regulatory and administrative concerns.
TIPS
Tina Caravetta designed the commemorative stone plaques for the ninth Centenary of the City of Bologna placed in May 2016 in the Courtyard of Honour of Palazzo d’Accursio and in the Courtyard at the entrance of the Medieval Civic Museum.
