The Wunderkammer consortium is a center of cultural production that since 2012 reinterprets these “chamber of marvels” as a place to collect and organize in an innovative way the artistic and productive capacities of the territory. Wunderkammer does social inclusion and fosters talent. It is a point of access to welfare services and entrepreneurship orientation. It is a space for production and work that brings together the craftsman and the location for the young creative, start-up and association, co-working and the cafeteria.
Wunderkammer has an interdisciplinary function and hosts different practices during the day or the week, it is an open and evolving space which includes the founder association Basso Profilo, AMF-School of Modern Music, Fiumana and Phormamentis.
ACTIVITIES
The headquarter of the Consortium is at former river warehouses of the Ferrara dockyard, a fine example of rationalist architecture known as Palazzo Savonuzzi, named after the engineer who built it in 1940. Wunderkammer provides 200 square meters for laboratory activities, meetings, events and exhibitions, 5 co-working stations and a square on the Volano river (in the historic center, a few meters from a large car parking, and 10 minutes on foot from the central railway station).
