Founded in 1996, the association Ferrara Sotto le Stelle presents every year in the heart of the city, the beautiful setting of Piazza Castello, a rich calendar of important events, ranging across all contemporary and independent music.
SPECIAL PROJECT 2020
After 25 years, Ferrara Sotto le Stelle [Under the Stars] was forced to stop due to the Covid emergency: but the organisation has never stopped, on the contrary it has worked on the creation of parallel and sustainable projects even in times of pandemic, with 'Close Up - programmazione di vicinanza consentita [allowed proximity programming]' within the project Isolation Portrait - five performances related to electronic, creative and innovative music, Cosa Resta della Musica - six live talk shows every Sunday evening together with journalists and musicians with a look at the post-pandemic world, Step Up - a declination of Close up, but dedicated not only to live streaming but also to training and cultural planning of music festivals.
Cubo was created during the health emergency, to network the skills and experiences of three festivals in Emilia-Romagna - Ferrara Sotto Le Stelle, Acieloaperto in Cesena and Arti Vibe in Soliera (Mo): a digital festival starting in December, with a series of live streaming, webinars and panels on communication, artistic direction and anything else related to the world of festivals.
