Bottega Finzioni is a training venue full of stories waiting to be told, inspired by Renaissance workshops (or Bottegas), where apprentices and masters work together on the raw material of stories. The work is divided into four sections: Fiction, Non-fiction, Literature and Audiovisual and Multimedia Productions for Children and Young adults.
Every year, several projects are developed, based on ideas of the Bottega master, Carlo Lucarelli, ideas of the section heads (Giampiero Rigosi, Michele Cogo, Francesco Merini, Manuela Draghetti and Christian Poli), as well as those of professionals who collaborate with Bottega. Everything is coordinated by Beatrice Renzi and Sara Olivieri.
ATCTIVITIES
Bottega Finzioni does not hold courses, but sees itself as a work in progress, as it is a real workshop where each section is autonomous with regards to teaching, organization and production. Within each section, apprentices work on external projects, on projects being developed or produced, and on original projects to submit to Bottega Finzioni’s representatives. Whenever possible, participants are accredited as partners or authors, depending on their role. As a result, at the end of their stay in Bottega, they have a CV of completed works as well as various experiences in the craft of storytelling.
